Congratulations to all the Hairdressing Students who recently took part in the Schools Competition in St. John’s Central College, Cork.
The students swooped the top prize for their fantasy creation on a live model and secured third place also. TCFE Students that competed were Christine Stone, Kerry Anne Gleeson, Kate Kelly, Rachel Ward, Charlene Madden, Tara Colohan, Jessica Barton and Denise Mc Garry.
Hairdressing students compete from colleges all over the country each year in this prestigious event.
The range of creations and talent on the day by all students was truly amazing. The standards are getting higher each year and to succeed in the competition is a fantastic achievement.
Kerry Anne Gleeson and Christine Stone won First place in the fantasy Live Model category. Their creation was truly spectacular showing various skills and techniques whilst working with hair in a creative way.
Denise McGarry was awarded third place in the Fantasy Live model category. Denise showed great talent and imagination with her creation also.
The students have been working on their creations for several weeks under the guidance of their teacher Patricia Prout. TCFE Hairdressing students have been competing in this annual event for the past number of years and it would not have been possible without the dedication and time given to them by their teacher Patricia. The college would like to congratulate Patricia and her students on their fantastic achievements.
