This is a 1 year full time programme designed to provide an introduction to film, radio and TV programme making and editing. The course incorporates instruction in techniques from the pre and post production stage of TV, Radio and Film Making. The programme is suitable for those interested in pursuing a career in the TV, Radio or Film industries. Whether your interest is in front or behind the camera or microphone this programme offers learners the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills to function effectively in these vibrant and exciting media environments.

Duration and Entry Requirements
The programme is full time from September to May. Entry requirement is normally FETAC Level 4, however, life experience and a demonstrated interest in media will be an important factor.Basic computer skills essential.

Graduates of this programme have the option to progress to one of two Level 6 courses on offer in Templemore, the first is in Film and TV Production while the second is Animation and Film Production. Alternatively there is a range of higher education options including the Broadcast Screen ProductionCourse in LIT, TV andMedia Production inCarlowInstitute of Technology, and Film and Screen Media at UCC.
